Light Rail Transit (LRT) is a transportation system based on electrically powered trains, designed to be easy, reliable, frequent, comfortable and convenient.
When the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton developed a Master Plan for the Hurontario-Main corridor, LRT was identified as the best technical transit option to support the vision for a vibrant, modern street. LRT also emerged as the most popular option for the public.
